Join Our Team: Hybrid Sales & Service Account Manager (New Business + World-Class Service)
If you’re tired of roles that only “answer phones” or only “chase leads,” this is built for you. In this hybrid position, you’ll balance proactive sales with top-tier customer service—helping families protect what matters while growing our book of business.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Grow the agency by pursuing new customer opportunities and converting inquiries into policies
- Retain and expand existing relationships by reviewing needs, identifying opportunities, and writing new business when appropriate
- Provide world-class service to current clients—following through, resolving issues quickly, and communicating clearly
- Build trust with customers using a consultative approach (not pressure)
- Partner with the team to hit targets and strengthen a positive, client-first culture
Why This Role Stands Out
- Real hybrid work: sales and service, so you’re not stuck in one lane
- Coach-driven success: this isn’t “sink or swim.” I’m committed to your growth and will take the time to train, coach, and help you build confidence and results—because your success is my success.
- Accessible leadership: you won’t be left guessing. I’m hands-on, available, and approachable, so you can get answers fast and stay on track.
- Supportive with real-life flexibility: I genuinely want to help you thrive, not just work—so we’ll work with your schedule and be accommodating with personal life needs when possible (with advanced notice).
- Career momentum: skill-building, recognition, and a path for growth within the agency
- Opportunity to go further: for the right person, there may be an accelerated track toward greater responsibility (including future agency ownership opportunities)
We’re Looking For Someone Who…
- Is self-motivated and takes initiative when it’s time to follow up and reach out
- Can handle objections with professionalism and confidence
- Communicates clearly, pays attention to details, and genuinely cares about doing the right thing for customers
- Is comfortable with technology and working in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
- Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license AND Life & Health license required prior to start
- Strong computer skills and the ability to learn internal systems quickly
- Clear communication skills (you’ll be explaining coverage, options, and next steps)
- Prior sales or customer service experience is preferred, not required
Work Environment & Schedule
- Hybrid sales & service role from our office (collaborative, laid-back, client-first culture)
- Direct report to the agency owner
- Typical schedule: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, with a one-hour lunch break
- Flexible scheduling may be available with advanced notice
Compensation & Benefits (Realistic Pay + Uncapped Growth)
Let’s talk about pay clearly—because there are a million job postings with “high potential” numbers that aren’t realistic for a new hire. For this role, I’m being direct about what you can actually achieve:
- Realistic, obtainable pay range for a new hire: $40,000–$60,000/year
- Base salary + commission with theoretically uncapped earning potential as you grow, build momentum, and write new business
And on top of that, you’ll have bonus opportunities when targets are reached, including:
- Performance and promotional target bonuses
- Birthday and Christmas bonuses (plus other recognition incentives, as applicable)
Plus, you’ll be supported with a benefits package that includes:
- Employer-matched SIMPLE IRA retirement plan
- Employer-matched retirement + a team-focused, supportive culture
- Mentorship + fast-track path to agency ownership for the right candidate
- Flexible scheduling available and occasional team lunches/events
Compensation: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
